The Startup ‘Telly’ is set to revolutionise smart TVs in the home, with a dual display screen separated by a powerful built-in 5-driver soundbar speaker.
The best news? The TV will be free.
Launched by Pluto TV co-founder Ilya Pozin, the Startup ‘Telly’ is offering its first 500,000 free TVs through their new initiative www.freetelly.com.
Telly is disrupting the industry by delivering the most innovative TV on the market right now and it also plans to revolutionise the industry’s business model by enabling advertisers to fully subsidize the cost of the TV itself for the consumer, and deliver it completely for free, reports PR Newswire.
How Can A TV Be Free For The Consumer?

Pozin, Founder and CEO of Telly, said in a statement that he thinks it’s about time the consumer gets their share of value when they choose to bring streaming services into their home.
“Telly is the biggest innovation in television since color,” said Pozin in his statement. He continued:
“Telly is a revolutionary step forward for both consumers and advertisers. For too long, consumers have not been an equal part of the advertising value exchange. Companies are making billions of dollars from ads served on televisions, yet consumers have historically had to pay for both the TV and the content they watch. All of that changes today. When I co-founded Pluto TV, we created an entirely new model that offered amazing TV content to viewers for free. Now, with Telly, we are providing the actual television for free as well.”
During the signup process, you’re asked some questions about you and your household so that ads for products and services you may be interested in can be served, non-intrusively the company says, on your Smart TV. Brands essentially pay for the TV, so you don’t have to. A first of its kind for Smart TV. Right now Telly is only available in the U.S.
Telly Specifications And Features.

Telly is the first Dual Screen Smart TV, with an included soundbar speaker which has five drivers, delivering pounding bass and immersive sound. You can stream your favourite TV programs using the included 4K streaming stick or you can hook up your own streaming device for an easy plug-and-play transition.
The screen boasts a whopping 55” 4K theatre display, so no matter what you’re using the Smart TV for, you’ll get a cinematic-like experience.
The integrated second smart screen brings you features such as video calling, instant news and sports updates, video games, a fitness studio and more.
And if all of the above features weren’t enough to pique your interest, Telly aims to be the go-to Smart system in your home by including its “Hey Telly” Voice Assistant. Gone are the days of losing the remote or hunting for long-lost batteries!

Telly claims it’ll get smarter over time with frequent over-the-air updates, so we can expect even more from the Telly experience in the future.
“Don’t be fooled by the free price”, Pozin reassured in his statement. “This is by far the most advanced television ever developed. Consumers will never look at their television the same way again after Telly transforms the TV from a monitor on the wall into the most powerful and useful device in the home.”
